Feb 2018 – Antarctica Adventure (Applications are NOW CLOSED)

Across-the-Circle-for-DiversI am now in the preliminary stages of looking at an Antarctic Adventure, timed for February 2018. Obviously this would be a NON CYCLING trip and suited for anyone who has had an interest in visiting the last true wilderness area on our planet. We would be leaving from Ushuaia in the very south of Argentina and sailing for approximately 2 days to the Antarctic Peninsula. The next 10 days would be spent on a series of daily shore excursions to the Antarctic Continent and nearby islands. On board there will be daily lectures by Polar experts to make sure you get the most of your experience. If you have an interest in photography then you may never get a chance like this in your lifetime.

Since our trip will start in South America there will be two optional extension trips that you may elect to add to the core trip. The first option would be to fly north to spend a couple of days in Buenos Aires before heading to the Brazilian border to visit the incredible Iguassu Falls – one of the natural wonders of the world. In Buenos Aires there is plenty to see, including the famous Casa Rosada where Evita Peron lived and performed her famous speeches from the balcony. You can also visit the Recoleta Cemetery to view the huge mausoleums of the rich and famous. The most famous of all is the grave of Evita Peron, still visited every day by hundreds of her admirers. We will also have time for a day excursion to Uruguay to visit the lovely Colonia del Sacramento, the oldest city in South America.

The other option available is to fly even further north to sail the Galapagos Islands, home to some of the most incredible wildlife on our planet. This would surely appeal to anyone with an interest in Natural History.

You may think that Feb 2018 is a LONG way away, but trips of this nature do take a long, long time to put together. The most important detail is to secure the services of the most appropriate ship and these are booked years in advance. The Antarctica Adventure would surely be a once in a lifetime experience that very few people every have the chance to take part in. If you (or any of your friends) would like to be kept informed about this trip, and also have the first option at filling the very limited places we will have available, it is essential that you contact me as soon as possible.
