2017 Queens Birthday Ride to Woodlands Homestead

On Monday 12th June we celebrated the Queens Birthday with a special ride from Royal Park (rather apt starting point) to Woodlands Homestead and back again. With approx. 35 riders in the group it certainly was one of the largest rides for 2017. We followed the Moonee Ponds Creek for most of the route. This meant that we had a steady but gentle climb on the outward ride, but a much easier downhill ride on the return leg. The weather was fine and cool making it ideal for riding. A huge thank you to Paul Coutts and Janna Thompson for helping to guide all the riders safely through the unfamiliar maze of the northern suburbs.

A great day was shared and I am sure that there were a few tired legs at the end.
