Thursday 25th April – Narre Warren North to Pakenham and Return
Thirty Ghostriders took part in an enjoyable ride from Narre Warren North to Pakenham and back again. This ride allowed us to experience some bike paths which had hitherto been unridden by our group.
Due to a rather fortuitous timing event we happened to arrive in Berwick just as they were conducting their very impressive Anzac Day Service. This meant that we stopped to watch the marching bagpipe bands and cavalcade of old army vehicles.
We then continued along the Princes Hwy (sometimes cutting cross country to cover short breaks in the bike path) to Pakenham. Lunch was at the Aroma Cafe and the owners were certainly glad to see us, taking a series of pictures for their Facebook page.
The return ride was along a different route, skirting some of the new wetlands that have been constructed near the Monash Freeway.
