November 2, 2021 – Special Melbourne Cup Day Rides - Tues 2nd Nov
It is our tradition to conduct a ride on Melbourne Cup Day. In order to keep the group sizes to a modest number, we will be having TWO concurrent rides. One of these rides will start at FTG library at 10 am and be led by Karlo Lavicka. The other ride will be our familiar Hastings to Balnarring ride, beginning at Hastings at 10 am. This ride will be led by myself. All riders must be fully vaccinated and should check with the ride leader before turning up at the start.
November 22, 2021 – November 30, 2021 – Gippsland and Bass Coast Cycling Adventure - Changed Dates
A series of rides in and around beautiful South Gippsland and the Bass Coast. The week will include cycling the Great Southern Rail Trail, The Bass Coast Trail, the George Bass Coast Walk, the Gippsland Plains Rail Trail and the East Gippsland Rail Trail. All the initial spaces in this trip are now full, however you may want to add your names to the standby list.

Please note the new dates for this trip. This was done to maximise the probability that we will be able to go ahead.

25 First Rides After Lockdown (Now Confirmed) October 25, 2021 N/A According to the Victorian Roadmap, we will no longer have travel limits around Melbourne and we will also be permitted to to have outdoor gatherings of up to 10 people. With that in mind, we have decided that Monday 25th October will mark the beginning of our small group rides. The plan will be to conduct three concurrent ride, each one starting at 10 am. The three start points will be (1) The Stud Rd Indoor Stadium, (2) The Jells Park Kiosk and (3) Kirtain Drive Croydon. I will be leading the first group, Michael Slattery will be leading the second group and David Yates leading the third group. Anyone planning to take part in these rides should first contact the ride leader to check that there are still places available. Hopefully everyone will be able to find a suitable ride within their permitted travel radius. Depending on how this first ride goes, we may make progressive changes over the next couple of weeks. 28 Small Group Rides - Thursday 28th Oct October 28, 2021 N/A The next rides will be held this Thursday 28th October. There will be three rides to choose from. The first will start at FTG Library at 10 am and be led by Karlo Lavicka (0447 433558). The second will start at Arkoonah Park in Berwick and will be led by Gordon Logan (0498 948854). The third will start at Box Hill Miniature Steam Railway carpark (cnr Elgar and Belmore Rds). That ride will be led by Peter and Wendy Graham (0438 920016). All rides begin at 10 am. The aim is to keep each group down to a manageable size. All riders are asked to contact the respective ride leader BEFORE the start of the ride to ascertain that there are still spaces available. All riders MUST be fully vaccinated. More
